The John Hartford Memorial Festival 2024

Crank over the steam powered aereo-plain and here we go! We are gearing up for our 9th annual John Hartford Memorial Festival. For nine years we have gathered at the beautiful venue Bill Monroe built, and we've danced on his stages, in front of the stages, and over every square inch of his yard, to so many bands and songwriters that we can't mention them all here. We are so proud and happy to have felt the love from all of you, our loyal festival family. We ask you each year to bring someone you love, and you do. Just imagine who you would love to see sitting or dancing next to you, tell 'em that you'll be in Bean Blossom, IN from May 29 - June 1, 2019.

Last week Sam Bush announced that due to an unforeseen medical circumstance he would have to cancel the next three weeks of his performances. The entire Hartford Festival crew wishes Sam a speedy and safe recovery. We also look forward to having Sam back at JHMF very soon!  
 
This year we're happy to announce JHMF alumni The HillBenders will perform on the main stage Saturday night. This tight outfit of acoustic soulful & rockin' pickers performed at the VERY FIRST festival back in 2010. MarleyGrass, a side project of The HillBender’s Jimmy Rea, will be happening in place of of Sam’s workshop set at the Boogie tent stage. On Thursday The HillBenders will be opening for The Who and now they'll be picking for you.
