A Friendly Reminder that *All Refund requests must be received by August 31, 2020 (THE DEADLINE HAS NOW CLOSED)*

Please do not send in multiple refund request as it slows the process way down for everyone. If you have already applied for your refund and have questions about it please email us at; hartfordfestivalrefund@gmail.com We will get back to you quickly to confirm receipt of your request and look into the status of your refund. We want to thank everyone who has donated all or part of their refund to the festival. Your generous gifts will go a long way toward covering our losses from 2020 and can help make another John Hartford Memorial Festival possible. Any tickets that have not been requested to refund before September 1, 2020 will be considered as a donation to the festival, and the donation was greatly appreciated!

From the John Hartford Memorial Festival Promoters:

Dear Hartford Fest Family,

We regret to inform you that the 10th annual John Hartford Memorial Festival rescheduled for this fall has been cancelled due to COVID19 and circumstances beyond our control. We do not feel confident that we can produce a festival this year similar enough to the previous festivals that everyone has come to know and love,  earning its nick name “The Most Laid Back Festival in America”. The crowds that we have seen in the past years would make it extremely difficult to follow COVID 19 protocols including social distancing during the festival.

Due to uncertainty of what 2021 will bring us, at this point we will not be rolling over your tickets to a rescheduled festival next spring. There is still a real possibility for a festival next year to happen, but we have decided to wait things out before planning another event. June 3-5, 2021 would have been the date for JHMF11 had things not gone sideways. We will be evaluating the situation carefully over the next six months to determine the possibilities of hosting a 2021 festival. If it happens, the festival may have to be modified and may have a very different look.

Because of all this uncertainty, we have decided to refund all tickets purchased for the 2020 festival. We will then refund your ticket purchases in as timely a manner as possible. Refunds will only be made to the original purchaser. Unfortunately, due to the length of time that has passed, we will not be able to simply refund your purchase through Pay Pal or your credit card. We will instead issue a refund via an E check system that is proven safe and secure.

Please note;    *All Refund requests must be received by August 31, 2020 (THE DEADLINE HAS NOW CLOSED)*

Over the years, we have strived to keep ticket service charges to the lowest amount in the industry. These service charges have all been paid to our ticketing service and credit card processing provider and will not be able to be refunded. If you have any questions not answered here regarding your refund please email us at: hartfordfestivalrefund@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please allow at least 14 days before enquiring about your refunds arrival as this is not an automatic system and there is much work for us to do. We will contact you if there is a problem or discrepancy with your refund request.

The Bill Monroe Music Park and Campground is a separate entity from The John Hartford Memorial Festival. The park will automatically be issuing refunds for all pre-paid golf cart rentals. Campground credits will be automatically issued for all prepaid camping. Camping credits will be valid for up to one year ending on July 31, 2021. Call the campground when you are ready to book a campsite using your credit.

This year has been very hard on many people in the music industry, and we all look forward to getting things back to normal. The cost of planning two festivals (JHMF10 in May and the rescheduled festival in September) that ultimately are not going to happen has hit us very hard. If anyone would like to donate all or any part of your ticket refund, it would be greatly appreciated and anything we receive over our actual losses for this year will be put towards planning our next event. We have put almost everything we have made on the festival over the years back into the next year’s event, so there is barely enough in the bank to refund all of your tickets.

2020 was going to be a very special year as our 10th festival and the 20th anniversary of John Hartford's passing. We had hoped to have a festival in 2021 which would have been extra special too with the 50th anniversary of the release of the Aeroplane album which got all this jam grass started. We can’t wait to celebrate with every one of you again once we all feel it is okay to do so at the next JHMF10.
Until then, please stay safe, happy and healthy!

Sincerely,
John Hotze
Tom Burkhart
And the John Hartford Memorial Festival Team
